The Chipolopolo of Zambia shift focus to 2022 World Cup Qualifications which is scheduled to commence in September Following their failure to defend the COSAFA crown.
Zambia wasliminated in the group stage after winning only one of their four games in the 2021 Cosafa tournaments in South Africa.
The South Africa Giants will starts their FIFA World Cup journey to Qatar with an away match to Mauritania in the first week of September and wind up their campaign on the road away to Tunisia in November.
Zambia Travel to Mauritania on September 1 before hosting Tunisia four days later.
On Match day three and Four, Chipolopolo will embark on a back to back encounter against Equatorial Guinea between October 6 and 10.
Zambia will host Mauritania on 11 November on Match five and concludes with an away match to Tunisia Three days later.
Zambia have never qualified to The World Cup and the only time the country had a realistic chance of making it to the World Cup was in 1993 during the qualifiers for USA 94, when they lost the spot to Morocco and 2018 to Nigeria after beating Algeria home and away.

Zambia will be looking forward to recording a maiden Appearance in 2022 in what’s looks like a more complicated qualifier where the winners of each of the 10 qualifying groups will qualify to the final round of the World Cup qualifiers where they will face off in a two-legged knock-out contest, out of which five will book their tickets to the Qatar event, due to be staged in November/December 2022.
