The President of Zambia, Edgar Chagwa Lungu has commence the ground breaking ceremony of a resort in the country tourist city of Livingstone.
The President who is embarking on a two-day working visit to Southern Province officiate the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of the US$100 million four-star Mosi-Ao-Tanya Livingstone resort.
The laudable project is expected to create over 1,000 jobs for people of Zambia during the construction period.
This project is an outcome of the 2019 Southern Province Tourism and Investment Exposition to bring more tourist to Zambia.
Also the president is scheduled to commission new housing units for the Zambia Correctional Service in Monze and Mazabuka Districts as part of the 1,200 housing units been built by my Government across the country for our men and women in uniform in the Ministry of Home Affairs today.
The President also said he is looking forward to meeting and discussing development with our traditional leaders in the three districts.
Livingstone is the Zambia city where Zambia side of the Victoria Falls is located.
