Warri Wolves ended their campaign in the first half of the 2021/2022 Nigeria National League, NNL, season with a 1 – 0 victory over Apex Krane of Agbor on Saturday at the Austin Jay Jay Okocha Stadium in Ogwashi-Uku.
The Matchday 13 encounter saw the Seasiders opened scoring in the 17 minutes of the game.
Archibong Philips connected perfectly with a Tega Ebetomame’s pull-out inside the box to put the visitors ahead early enough.
It will recalled that Archibong came off the bench to level scores during last weekend’s home 1 – 1 draw with FC One Rocket of Ikot-Ekpene.
Prior to kick-off, Warri Wolves technical adviser, Samson Omiponle, had restored him to the starting eleven.
And the former Dakkada man justified his inclusion by scoring the solitary goal of the fixture, where the chances were far and in between.
The oil city team would now go on the mid-season break and resumed on April 30, with intense preparations for the second half of the NNL campaign starting on May 2, 2022.
