The Egyptians started the match very well winning the first set, before the performance deteriorated
Egypt’s outside hitter Ayah El Nady continued her stunning form in the championship, coming up as her side’s top scorer with 13 points
After the match she said: “Our passing was good only in the first set. Then we lost our focus. Now we have to work especially on that – gain back our focus and think about tomorrow’s match.”
The Pharaohs will play their final match in the championship on Sunday, against Argentina for the 11th place
Rwanda ended their journey, losing against Belgium 0-3 (14-25, 13-25, 13-25)
Albertine Uwiringiyimana, middle blocker and captain of Rwanda stated: “It was a good match. We came to win, but it did not happen.”
The Rwandans are granted the 15th position in the World Champs, as their opponents for Sunday’s match are the withdrawn Puerto Rico
