Akwa United Football Club has registered 39 players to play in the 2022-23 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
The squad for the new season comprises both old and newly signed players including three youth players.
The players are all eligible to represent the club in competitions such as the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL, the State Challenge Cup, Federation Cup
Secretary of the club Elder Omon Bassey confirmed that the club has received the player’s licenses from the league organizers, the Interim Management Committee IMC.
The team has trained together since coming back from the end-of-season break and has played a series of Grade-A pre-season friendly games in preparation for the new season.
The registration includes five goalkeepers, 13 defenders, Eight Midfielders and 13 Forwards.
