Host of 2021 CAVB Volleyball Men and Women Nations Cup, Rwanda has refused to carry on with championship after the continent’s Volleyball Federation (CAVB) disqualified Rwanda for fielding ineligible players.

Rwanda’s who are in Pool A with Nigeria, Morocco and Senegal were found guilty of using foreign players with outgoing through the due process of registration.

The were found guilty when their last Pool A game against Senegal was suspended after an official protest was lodged by Nigeria and two other countries.

CAVB stepped in, and after their investigations decided to disqualify Rwanda but the hosts whom are yet to comply with CAVB’s directives are now refusing to carry on with the championships.

The Nigerian team received threats from the hosts, and as at today, Rwanda is yet to implement CAVB’s decision, with no games played yesterday, and none yet for today.

Rwanda hosted a successful men championship but finding it difficult to host a successful women championship.
