According to a Moroccan media DM Sports, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation has lodged a reservation against Ghana for fielding players whose age is above the category of U17.
Morocco played Ghana in the final round of the FIFA U17 Women World Cup Qualifiers which will see the winner of both legs booking their place in India 2022.
The first leg of the match which was played yesterday in Accra Ghana saw Morocco losing 2-0 to the Black Maidens of Ghana.
According to the Morocco FA, 8 players of the Ghana team are over U17 years, three of them are over 23 years old, while the rest of the players are over 18 and 20 years old.
Royal Moroccan Football Federation – FRMF, along with the Senegalese and Guinean teams, who were eliminated against the same team with all its mentioned players, will follow the legal process with the Confederation of African Football “CAF” and “FIFA” with all the proofs owned by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation to stop the manipulation of ages to ensure the principle of equal opportunities and fair competition.
Morocco will host Ghana in the return fixture on June 4th in Casablanca.
