Guinean professional footballer Mathias Pogba has been detained at the Nanterre police station in France, several reports have confirmed.

He was called at the police station for inquiries on September 14, 2022 but immediately detained upon his arrival.

Mathias Pogba and four other persons have been charged with extortion with arms, kidnapping, torture with liberation on the 7th day to facilitate a planned crime.

Meanwhile, his brother Paul Pogba whom he had accused of using voodoo on team mate, Kylian Mbappe with the help of a native doctor, had a successful knee operation but risks not participating in the upcoming FIFA world cup.
