The Extension of the Mangochi Portable Water Supply Project which has been officially commissioned today by Malawi President Dr Lazarus Chakwera stands as a testament to the government’s commitment to giving households across the country access to clean water, sanitation, and hygienic services.

It is one of the many projects being undertaken across Malawi in line with sustainable goal number 6 as well as Malawi Vision 2063 Implementation Plan 1 (MIP1) which envisages access to clean water for all Malawians by the year 2030.

The project which stretches for over 50km from Mpondasi to Ntakataka turn off is now benefiting over 90,000 people including households, public facilities and businesses in Mangochi.

Dr. Chakwera also launched the Nkhatabay Bay Water Supply System a few weeks ago.
