The draw for the 2022-2023 TotalEnergies CAF Interclub competitions Preliminary Rounds was conducted on Tuesday, 09 August 2022 in Cairo, Egypt at 16h00 local time.
Thile draw mark the beginning of a journey to the 2022/23 season of both TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and TotalEnergies Confederation Cup.
Wydad Athletic Club are the reigning TotalEnergies CAF Champions League champions. Another Moroccan club, RS Berkane are the defending champions of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup – having won the trophy twice in three years.

First leg of all the matches will hold within the weekend of 9-11 September and second leg set for 16-18 September.
Second round will hold between 7-9 and 14-16 October, respectively.
Unlike the last 3 previous seasons, the final of this edition will be played in a two-legged format as the CAF decided at the executive committee meeting on July 3rd at Rabat after the conflict between Al Ahly and the CAF after choosing the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca as a place for the 2022 CAF Champions League Final to be played which wasn’t a neutral venue as it was the home of the opponent Wydad Casablanca as Al Ahly allege
