The Under-17 Women National Team have continued to shape up for next week’s India 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Cameroon.
Coach Kaluba Kangwa says the girls are looking forward to the game that will be played on April 15, 2022, at Nkoloma Stadium.
“Cameroon is not an easy team, it is a strong team, and the game will be very good and tactical. We are looking forward to the game and we know that we are going to make our nation proud,” says Kangwa.
“The girls are responding very well, and I am encouraged to see their willingness to work hard in everything that we are doing.”
He adds: “I am so excited that the majority of them are in good shape. We have managed to give them the information in terms of what we expect from them when we play against our colleagues from Cameroon.”
FIFA cancelled the tournament in 2020 at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic and postponed the biennial tournament to 2022.
Featuring 16 teams and 32 matches, the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2022 will take place in India from 11 to 30 October 2022.
