Accolades have continue to roll out for the Nigeria Football Federation President Amaju Melvin Pinnick who once again wrote Nigeria’s name in the annals of Global Football.
Chairperson of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), and also board member of the NFF Madam Aisha Falode who witness the triumph of Pinnick in an exclusive chat with Football Republik on 94.1 FM Portharcourt hailed the qualities of Amaju Pinnick saying he is indeed a blessing to Nigeria Football.
“Within the short period he has been NFF President, he has gone to CAF, emerged as 1st Vice President, African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Organising Committee Chairman.
It takes one who has vast knowledge about football, one who is good in networking to achieve this feat.
We saw our President being held up high in Morocco, he showed that he is indeed the breakbuilder, one who has brought the African Football family together.
Remember CAF Patrice Motsepe was brought by Amaju Pinnick as the man to take African Football to it’s greater heights.
The passion of Amaju Pinnick is second to none, what I saw in Morocco says it all that he is a man of destiny, one we need to value back home in Nigeria”.
The seasoned football administrator defeated his only rival, incumbent Walter Nyamilandu of Malawi by 43 votes to 8 at the Congress held inside the Royal Ballroom of the Sofitel Hotel in Morocco’s administrative capital.
He now becomes only the third Nigerian to serve in world football’s highest decision-making body, after the late Etubom Oyo Orok Oyo and Dr Amos Adamu.
