Enyimba versatile winger, Obi Samson has joined Libyan side Al-Nasr Ly Club of Benghazi ending his two year stay with the Aba Elephants.

Obi the cross river state born player, 25, made his switch to the Libyan side ending speculation about his future with Enyimba, a club he joined from neighbors, Abia warriors.

Signed to Al-Nasr Ly Club in an undisclosed fee, the contract is expected to keep the one time Delta Force player with the Libyan side for two years.

Before moving to Libya, Obi was a pick for Coach Fatai Osho both in the CAF Confederations game and the Nigeria professional Football league, NPFL, before sustaining an injury that kept him away from the Clash against Orlando Pirates of South Africa in their last group game in the continent and a rescheduled oriental derby between Rangers of Enugu and Enyimba.

Speaking in his first media interaction, Obi said he is already in love with the club supporters, “This is amazing, i can tell you this is the most amazing fans I have ever seen ever since I was playing football, I really don’t know the songs they are chanting, but I love it because it inspires me”.

Obi said “ I want to tell the fans I will give my best And do everything to make sure we are the champions, I heard we have not won the super league for a long time, but together i believe we can achieve because am here to make history with the club”.

Obi will be hoping to impress the Benghazi based side who he has already kicked off training with a day after his arrival.
