Secondary Education Minister is in a world of her own, Dr Nalova Lyonga says that COVID-19 tests will be carried out on all students and teachers in all secondary schools in Cameroon.
After the tests that will be carried out in the presence of experts from the Ministry of Public health, access into schools will only be granted with a presentation of NEGATIVE COVID-19 test results.
This will be the first country to impose students throughout the country to carry out COVID-19 tests before having access to the school campus.
Until now, mandatory tests are taken only for people wishing to cross over to another country.
During the CHAN 2021 games, Cameroon allowed football lovers to watch matches in stadia without imposing a COVID-19 test.
Cameroon also allowed thousands to gather in concerts like that of Congolese musician, Fally Ipupa.
Imposing COVID-19 tests on all students means there has been a failure in social distancing, wearing of masks among others.
