Nkana’s Group D CAF Confederation Cup opponents Pyramids Football Club of Egypt have arrived in Ndola ahead of Wednesday’s penultimate clash at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
The team arrived at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport aboard a chartered flight at 21:45 hours and was received by officials from FAZ and Nkana.
Team coach Aroua Barina said his team would fight to get a result that will boost their qualification to the next stage of the competition.
The Argentine told the FAZ media that with Nkana changing coaches from their last encounter they did not know what to expect.
“It is very important the game for my team. I will try to play a good match and win. It is very important to pass the group,” he said.
Barina said the first leg victory was behind his squad.
“This is a different match. Nkana have changed the coach I do not know their starting eleven, it is a different match,” he said.
“The two teams will try and win the match. We need to focus and concentrate for 90 minutes. It is possible to win or lose but we will try to pass the group and qualify to the next stage.”
Nkana and Pyramids have six points apiece although the North Africans have a healthier goal difference, but a win could put the Zambian champions in good stead to qualify to the next round.
Runaway leaders Raja Casablanca are ahead of the pile with 12 points while tailenders Namungo have zero points.
Nkana host Pyramids on Wednesday at 15:00 hours at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
The match that will be played behind closed doors will be beamed live on ZNBC.
