Sports is one of the pillars of the Saudi government’s Vision 2030 economic diversification plan that seeks to build new industries and create jobs, which PIF is at the centre of.
The league has also attracted some of the sport’s most decorated players, notably Portuguese great Ronaldo who joined Al Nassr at the end of last year and bought other players like Karim Benzema, Kante etc ahead of the new season.
