The Interim coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Austin Eguavoen has heaped praises on his side for the outstanding performance against Egypt in the 2021 Africa Nations Cup in Cameroon.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria started her 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on a brighter note, stunning the Pharaoh of Egypt by a lone goal in Garoua.

Leicester City’s forward Kelechi Iheanacho scored the solitary goal in the 30th minute which was assisted by Joseph Aribo.

“Egypt is a well-respected team; we respect them, but we’ve players who should be respected too.

This is the first time that the impressive Eagles would defeat the Egyptian in the AFCON.
