According to reports Sierra Leone Coach, John Keister has reportedly received lots of death threats for not including some players in the final 28 man squad for the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon
With pressure keep mounting in the Leone Stars camp, John Keister is planning to have a press conference concerning his latest death threats he received for not including a player into his final list of 28 man squad for the AFCON.
Keister earlier named a 40-man squad on 20th December to start preparations in Freetown, for the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations next year.
The Leone Stars coach will drop twelve players from his 40-man provisional squad ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
The squad is dominated by foreign-based players with only thirteen home-based players making the cut.
Of the 40 players, twelve won’t it to the tournament as Keister will submit a final squad of 28 players tomorrow.
Tomorrow 30th December 2021 is the deadline for all national teams to send their final 28 man list to CAF.
Sierra Leone is in Group E with Algeria, Cote d’Ivoire and Equatorial Guinea and will open their campaign against the Fennec Foxes of Algeria on January 11, 2022.
