The Liberia World Cup Contingent have arrived in Surulere, Lagos which is 10 minute-drive away from the Teslim Balogun Stadium that will host their Qatar 2022 Group C World Cup Qualifier with hosts, Super Eagles.
The two West African countries have been preparing a strong bid for Qatar 2022 a campaign which starts this week across the African continent with the visitors making the trip to Lagos first before engaging Central African Republic (CAR) at the Reunification Stadium in Doula three days later.
Lone Star tactician Peter Butler has now drawn up a 23-man squad with Peter Wilson the new inclusion following the little skepticism that was expressed by Kpah Sherman to initially withdraw because of concentrated domestic fixtures.

Peter Butler and co are only awaiting the arrival of five more players who should be in Lagos before noon. They include; Kpah Sherman, Ashley Williams, Jeremy Singbeh, Prince Balde, and David Tweh.
Nigeria and Liberia renew their rivalry dated back to 1975 on Friday inside Teslim Balogun Stadium with the hosts starting as strong favorites for the right to win one of five qualifying slots to represent Africa at Qatar 2022. Nigeria have won 9 of 14 meetings with latest coming in a 6-1 drubbing of the Lone Star in 2012.
Liberia have won 3 including a famous 2-1 win at the SKD in July 2001. The irony is that the man won scored both goals in Monrovia twenty years ago, Christopher Wreh is in the Lone Star squad this time as an Assistant Coach.
