One of Coach Peter Butler’s five new inclusions to the Lone Star squad for the World Cup Qualifiers with Nigeria and Central African Republic (CAR) scored at the weekend.
Mohammed Kamara, 23, came off the bench with a dozen of minutes left and scored in Hatayspor’s 5-0 moulding of Alanyaspor in the Turkish Super Liga.
The 6ft striker charged inside the box with a darting run before accepting a Dylan Saint-Louis’ pass from the left edge of the penalty area on his right foot.
His first touch sweetly took him around two defenders before he side-footed unstoppably from seven yards to cap the icing on the cake.
The result moves Hatayspor in 8th only 3pts adrift the fledgling league leaders, Besiktas.
This has come on the back of Coach Butler bemoaning Lone Star’s lack of goals in Friday’s press conference.
Kamara is one of four strikers in the 55 year-old squad for the two World Cup qualifiers with Nigeria and CAR. The others are Kpah Sherman, Van-Dave Harmon, and Ayouba Kosiah (new inclusion).
