The Confederation of Africa Football, CAF has requested Côte d’Ivoire to choose a stadium in Ghana, Senegal or Morocco to play their 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers Match against Malawi.
This is coming after approve not approved the Yamoussoukro or any stadium in Côte d’Ivoire Stadium for their World Cup home game in October.
According to CAF the Yamoussoukro or any stadium in Côte d’Ivoire did not meet the criteria to host an international match.
CAF has given Côte d’Ivoire until 22 September 2021 to officially inform CAF of the stadium selected in the listed countries for the next qualifying match for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The only approved stadium in Côte d’Ivoire is the Ebimpe Olympic Stadium in Abidjan which has been closed for more reconstruction works after the Cameroon game.
